We don't yet have a spec sheet from Nikon so we're not sure if the weight is the same as the D5, but will report back on that soon once they provide us with one. The additional height we're told is to accomodate a new on-board GPS system, which is a first for the line and makes sense for adventurous pros needing accurate global positioning data. But of course four years is a fairly long time in techological terms, and so we always assume there will be some key technological advances under the hood, so to speak, and the D6 certainly comes packed with an arsenal of upgrades to tell you about.
